Accessible Parking/Drop Off

Accessible parking is available in every parking deck and is close to the parking deck elevators. For most events, there is an accessible drop off area located on the 45th Street (North) entrance of the building. There is an elevator located at this entrance, which can take guests up to the concourse and VIP levels. For those guests requiring wheelchair assistance, please call (757) 683-5762 for more information.

Alcohol

Guests are not permitted to bring alcohol into the facility, nor are they permitted to leave with it. Alcohol may be served at select events. Virginia State laws prohibit the consumption of any alcoholic beverage by any persons under the age of 21. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone without proper identification. Call (757) 683-5762 to see if alcohol will be served at an event.

Animals

Animals or pets of any kind are prohibited with the exception of service animals for guests with disabilities and/or special needs. Services animals are welcomed into the building and must remain on a leash or harness at all times.

ATMs

There are three ATM machines at Chartway Arena, all located on the main concourse on top of section 102 near the main entrance for your convenience.

Birthday Parties

With a group of (15) or more, guests of all ages can celebrate their birthday at a concert, family show or Old Dominion Basketball game, hosted at Chartway Arena, by contacting group sales at (757) 683-5000.

Box Office

Tickets for events at Chartway Arena may be purchased at the following authorized points of purchase:

  • Online via YnotTix.com 
  • In-person at the Chartway Arena Box Office located on the corner of 43rd Street and Hampton Blvd. The Box Office is open Monday - Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • By calling 877-YNOT-TIX (877-966-8849)

For questions regarding ticketing, please call (757) 683-4444 (tickets cannot be purchased through this phone number).

Please be advised that Chartway Arena cannot guarantee the authenticity of tickets obtained through any other source. Counterfeit and other invalid tickets will not be honored by Chartway Arena.

Should you opt to purchase tickets from a source other than those listed above, please keep in mind the following:

  • Admission is not guaranteed if tickets are invalid.
  • Tickets cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
  • Chartway Arena cannot contact you with information regarding time changes, show cancellations, or other pertinent information.

Tickets are good only for the event for which they are purchased and only for the seat for which they are issued. Tickets are not transferrable. Tickets are limited revocable licenses which may be revoked at the sole discretion of Chartway Arena.

All hard tickets will be mailed out within two business days after purchase. 

Ticket on-sale times are always Eastern timezone unless otherwise noted.

Cameras

The use of still cameras/flash photography and recording devices are prohibited at most Chartway Arena events. If a patron brings a camera or recording device into the center, the patron will be asked to return that item to his/her vehicle, or check it with guest services. Cameras are allowed into certain events, however, call (757) 683-5762 to determine if your event does allow cameras.

Children's Tickets

A ticket is required for all children who have celebrated their first birthday.

Concession Specialty Items

The Chartway Arena food service provider, ARAMARK, is proud to offer a variety of food choices including traditional concession items and the following specialty items: Gyros, Smithfield BBQ, Dip ’n Dots, and more!

Doors

For most events, doors open one hour prior to the event start time.

The VIP entrance area is on the Northside of Chartway Arena on the corner of 45th Street and Hampton Blvd. The Handicap entrance is also on 45th Street and Hampton Blvd. The Monarch Shop and Big Blue Room are located on the 43rd Street side of the venue.

Donation Requests

Please submit all donation requests on company letterhead to the Marketing Department, Chartway Arena 4320 Hampton Blvd Norfolk, VA 23529 or via fax at (757) 683-6544.

Duplicate Tickets

If you encounter another guest that has a ticket for the same seat, contact the nearest guest attendant.

Elevators

There are three elevators located in the venue. Two VIP elevators are located behind Sections 107 and 207 on the north end of the building (facing 45th Street). A patron elevator is located behind Section 113 on the east side of the building (facing Monarch Way).

Ejection/Guest Removal

Chartway Arena reserves the right to eject guests whose behavior is against the policy, unruly and/or illegal. If you observe a guest behaving in such a manner, consult your supervisor immediately.

First Aid

If medical assistance is required, notify the nearest Chartway Arena representative and he/she will escort you to the first aid station. Our first aid facility is fully equipped to handle all minor injuries.

Group Tickets

Only specific shows and events have group discounts. The number that is considered a group varies on a show-by-show basis. Anyone interested in purchasing group tickets for an event should contact the group sales office at (757) 683-5000.

Guest Services

Guest Services are located in the main lobby.

Guests that have comments, questions or concerns during an event at Chartway Arenaare strongly encouraged to visit Guest Services prior to exiting the facility. If an incident occurs while visiting the venue, please speak with a member of the staff or visit Guest Services at the time the incident occurs.

Hall of Fame

Old Dominion University’s Hall of Fame is located in the main lobby. The Hall of Fame exhibits artifacts and memorabilia of Old Dominion Athletics dating back to the 1930’s.

Hotels

The SpringHill Suites by Marriott is the only hotel within walking distance of Chartway Arena.

Lost and Found

Any items that have been lost or found should be reported to Guest Services in the main lobby or the administration office. Please call (757) 683-5762 to recover lost items.

Lost Tickets

All issues with lost tickets should be directed to the Box Office at (757) 683-4444.

Meetings/Banquets

Meeting rooms are available to rent for meetings and banquets. Call the administration office at (757) 683-5762 for more information.

Re-Entry

Guests may not leave the center and then re-enter.

Refunds

Tickets cannot be refunded, cancelled or exchanged. If the event cancels or postpones, call the Box Office at (757) 683-4444 for refund information.

Restrictions

The following is a list of Chartway Arena restrictions:

  1. Alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs
  2. Glass bottles or aluminum cans
  3. Ice chests (coolers) or thermos containers
  4. Cameras or recording devices (allowed only at specific events)
  5. Sticks or clubs
  6. Fireworks, firearms, or other weapons
  7. Bullhorns or noise makers
  8. Confetti or balloons
  9. Animals (except certified service dogs for the disabled)
  10. Beachballs and other inflatables
  11. Outside food or beverages
  12. Skateboards or rollerblades
  13. Water bottles or mugs

Restrooms

All restrooms in Chartway Arena have diaper-changing stations available and are accessible to persons with disabilities. Chartway Arena also has family restrooms in the main concourse and suite level.

Smoking

Chartway Arena is a non-smoking facility, except in designated smoking areas. All seating areas are classified as non-smoking. The designated smoking area is located outside the main lobby.

Stolen Tickets

All issues with stolen tickets should be directed to the Box Office at (757) 683-4444.

Strollers

Strollers are not permitted in the seating sections of the arena. We offer a stroller check service at Guest Services located in the main lobby. Chartway Arena is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged strollers.

Suites

Chartway Arena has 16 private suites which hold up to 20 people, plus a group box with a capacity of 55 people, and a party suite with the capacity of 16. The party suite and group box are available to rent on an event-by-event basis. Suites are also available for event-by-event rental through the Premium Services office at (757) 683-5000.
